Michelle And Barack Obama Partners with Spotify to Create Special Podcasts
Recently, Barack and Michelle Obama have collaborated with Spotify to create podcasts that will cover a range of their favorite topics with the aim of creating compelling content that will entertain and inspire audiences.
According to a recent press release, the power couple will produce their newly formed manufacturing company, Higher Ground Productions, which flew with its initial part in 2018
“We have always trusted in the importance of engaging, thought-provoking dialog,” said President Obama in Spotify’s article. “It helps us to build connections and open up new ideas to each other. We’re excited about Higher Ground Audio because podcasts provide a tremendous opportunity to promote productive dialogue, make people happy and make people think and hopefully bring us all together a little closer.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to amplify voices that are all too often ignored or silenced, and we can share those stories with the world through Spotify,” said Michelle Obama. “Our hope is that Higher Ground Audio will not only create entertaining podcasts through compelling, motivating storytelling, but will help people connect emotionally and open their minds — and their hearts.” Spotify is a great home for the Obama with a 100 million Premium subscriber base and over 217 million active users a month.
“President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama are two of the most important voices in the world, and it is a pleasure to work with them to recognize and share stories that will inspire our global audience, who looks to Spotify for unique, breakthrough content,” said Dawn Ostroff, Chief Content Officer of Spotify. “Connecting people with original and insightful creators— especially those with the potential to highlight under-represented and invaluable narratives— is at the core of our project, and we are pleased that not only will the Obamas create content, but they will also lend their voices to this initiative.”
